Why I love what I do: My favorite part about my job is working directly with the customer to enhance their project. I also enjoy working in an industry that prides itself on its craftsmanship and relationships gained while working towards a common goal. Customers and dedicated colleagues make my job enjoyable and rewarding.
More About Me: I’ve lived in the Black Hills my entire life. I was born and raised in Hot Springs and that’s where I was lucky enough to get my start in the building industry. I’ve spent the last 12 years working in the Hot Springs, Rapid City, and Spearfish Builders FirstSource stores. I’ve been extremely blessed to develop lifelong relationships with great customers as well as our excellent Builders FirstSource team. When I’m not working I’m enjoying spending time with my wife and five kids. I also enjoy golfing in the summer and hunting in the fall, winter, and spring. The Black Hills is where I love to be and I’m blessed to be part of such a great industry that is truly a large family in itself.

Why I love what I do: I grew up in the building industry. My grandfather ran the lumberyard in my home-town for 25 years, and then my uncle ran it for another 10+ years.  I seem to gravitate back to the building industry in some form or fashion out of personal interest.  I enjoy helping people and teammates source products for their building projects and seeing some of the amazing homes our customers build….and what better place to live than the beautiful Black Hills!

Why I love what I do:  I truly enjoy working with the people that come in to our Rapid Store to help them accomplish their goals. Whether I am working with a contractor, helping them grow their business by doing a quality job for their client, or directly with the homeowner in helping them realize the home of their dreams, I'm excited to help throughout the process. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is being able to hear someone's ideas and then help them make those ideas a reality that exceeds even their expectation.

Why I love what I do: I really enjoy seeing the sales process followed through from start to finish. I like working with builders and homeowners by gathering information for their projects, providing them a thorough bid on the project and then following through to see it completed. I enjoy the process of selling, and especially the component of it when the project is done and the homeowner or builder is satisfied with what it is they created.

Why I love what I do: I enjoy being able to work with customers and contractors to help them build their projects from start to finish. With my building experience background, I thrive in the ability to help customers visualize their projects as well as offer alternate suggestions to get the finished look they have always dreamed of. With the talent and experience of our team here at the Rapid City location, we are able to take on any project big or small.
More About Me: I was a contractor for almost 18 years here in the Black Hills as well as having my own construction company for 11 years. I decided to take a different avenue in the building industry and help homeowners and other contractors with their projects by supplying the products needed. I really enjoy getting to work with such a great team of coworkers every day.

Why I love what I do: I’ve always had an interest in design and the home building process as my dad used to build houses when I was growing up. I love the process of creating a space for the customer that is useful and beautiful; it’s so exciting to see their vision come to life!
More About Me: I have been married to my husband, Todd, for 26 years, have two amazing kids (adults!)  Zachary, 23 who is a technical ambassador for a bike wheel company in Colorado and Jennifer, 20 who is in her last year of college at Montana State University for Interior Design.  My husband and I are still trying to get used to being empty nesters, so we are attempting to take up golf. I love to bake and watch cooking shows, and spend time with family every chance I can.

Why I love what I do: I believe that for someone, building a home is the most significant and most important decision a person can make in their lifetime. I thoroughly enjoy having a chance to help a homeowner or builder with every phase and detail of their project. I was raised around home construction. From a toddler to adulthood I've experienced firsthand renovating homes and building new. These experiences have always been something I've enjoyed being a part of, learning and helping others along the way. In my professional life, previous experiences selling and installing flooring provided me the pleasure of assisting customers and contractors with anything from starter homes, remodels, multi-family, and large commercial. I aspire to take my knowledge and experiences to utilize them across the full building trade.

Why I love what I do: I have always enjoyed designing things from a young age. As I got older, I always wanted to be in the design business. The ability to take an idea and make it reality is something that I find very rewarding.
One of my favorite parts of my role with Builders FirstSource is meeting with customers and listening to what they want in their home. Through those conversations I am able to take those ideas and design them exactly what they want. As a residential designer, it is very enjoyable when you finish the design of a home and look at what you just produced, knowing that a person or a family will be living in a home you designed.
More About Me: I was born and raised in the Black Hills area on a family ranch. I earned my drafting degree at Western Dakota Tech and stayed in the area after graduating, working for a local architectural firm for 19 years. In this role I designed commercial, industrial, hospitality, medical, educational, assisted living, restaurants, and residential buildings.
When I am not working as an architectural designer, I am an assistant women’s college basketball coach for a local university. Prior to coaching college basketball I was a high school football and boys and girls basketball coach for 16 years. Apart from that I continue to help out on the family ranch and when I find free time, I enjoy doing a little fishing and spending days at the lake.
